I believe we have discussed Jabez’s Prayer adequately and I hope you have begun to notice changes in your life – if you are praying the prayer.
Moving forward – I would like to discuss our Earth and the environment. God entrusted us with the care of this world – and sometimes we don’t take very good care of it.
I love WORDS so I thought we would take a certain word that relates to the Earth and environment and discuss Bible passages that mention that word. I will be posting passages from various Bible translations.
Let’s start with water. The first verse of Genesis tells us that in the beginning there was no Earth – just water and a strong wind – apparently floating in the Universe. EVERYTHING that lives on this Earth requires water to survive. Here is the first passage I would like to share with you.
1Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God, and everyone who loves the Father also loves the one born of Him. 2By this we know that we love the children of God: when we love God and keep His commandments. 3For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome, 4because everyone born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world: our faith.
5Who then overcomes the world? Only he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God. 6This is the One who came by water and blood, Jesus Christ—not by water alone, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit who testifies to this, because the Spirit is the truth. 7For there are three that testify:a 8the Spirit, the water, and the blood—and these three are in agreement.
I pray that you and yours will be blessed indeed today and everyday. Amen.
